What is the problem and who is affected?

Triple negative breast cancer is often hard to treat. What's more, international studies have shown inconclusive results about the role of radiation treatment as a therapy for this type of breast cancer.

What is this research hoping to achieve?

Melissa will investigate the impact of radiation treatment on triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). Her research will look at outcomes around the country for patients who have received radiation, and those who have not. The study will help to understand the impact of radiation treatment on outcomes for patients with TNBC in New Zealand.
