Being told you have ABC will come as a shock, especially coming to terms with the realisation that cure is no longer possible. Treatments have improved and with these advances, more and more New Zealanders diagnosed with ABC are living well for longer.

Important information about medicines
- If a medicine is funded in New Zealand, it is available for free in the public health system.
- If a medicine is not funded, patients will need to pay for the medicine and usually for its administration in a private oncology clinic.
- Medicines are licensed for use by Medsafe New Zealand.
- Please note a medicine can be licensed for use, but not funded.
