Mindfulness Aotearoa

Fear and uncertainty about the future often follow breast cancer treatment, research has shown that Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training may help reduce emotional distress, anxiety and fatigue after cancer.

MBSR is an eight-week evidence-based mindfulness training course. Mindfulness Aotearoa have expert, qualified teachers experienced in working with people who've had cancer. MBSR can help you move forward after cancer treatment and enjoy life again.

Naturalwear

We provide a professional fitting service for breast forms and bras for those that have had some form of breast cancer surgery. We are a registered provider of the Ministry of Health breast prosthesis subsidy. We also supply a wide range of swimwear, as well as a complete fitting service of compression garments, including socks and arm sleeves. Our service is nationwide and we also provide the ever-popular home fitting service for those that require it.

Nurse educators

Our specialist nurse educators are available to speak to people at your community event and raise awareness about breast health, breast cancer and support for people with breast cancer. We're able to book education visits across New Zealand. We're also happy to talk to you about attending conferences or large events. OutLine is an all-ages rainbow mental health organisation providing support to the rainbow community, their friends, whānau, and those questioning. We provide a nationwide, free and confidential support line at 0800 OUTLINE between 6pm-9pm for those who want to speak to a trained volunteer from the rainbow community. We also provide face-to-face specialist rainbow counselling and an Auckland-based trans and non-binary peer support service.

General Home Help

Parent Aid North West is able to provide free practical home help to families with babies and children under 5 years old within the North West Rodney and South Kaipara region. Our focus is addressing the needs of parents that are experiencing postnatal depression, anxiety, overwhelm and stress, rural isolation, sleep deprivation, accident, illness or general hardship. We assist with general household duties, meal preparation, child care, and can help with transport, so that parents can attend medical and well-being appointments.

Parent Aid Waitakere

We provide practical support as well as companionship and practical advice for those mum and dads at home without family or friend support. By offering a temporary respite, we help to alleviate the stress and channel that into positive and empowered parenting. Practical help in the home for parents with children under 14years old.

Parvaneh Cosmetic Studio

Areola tattooing is a type of restorative tattooing in which hyper-realistic renderings of the nipple-areola complex are created (NAC). This is a permanent tattoo service for anyone who may need re-pigmentation of the area, such as breast cancer survivors who have had mastectomies. To ensure natural-looking results, this procedure is completely customised for each client.
